Upgrade!

I finally gave my blog a much needed upgrade to the latest version of Wordpress. Don’t worry about the layout, please be patient while I work on making a new template. :)

And I’ve been pretty impressed with the comments I’ve been getting on the whole strike issue! I suppose Google can account for some of the hits… I’d especially like to thank Tyler for his enlightening comment that addresses a lot of the issues I had brought up in my post, and answered a lot of the questions that I had had about the CSU in general. I suppose having a General Assembly to decide on a strike is much better than just going ahead and doing it anyway, and I agree that a milder CSU is better… For the record it is my second year at ConU, so I haven’t been around long enough to have experience the even more radical, crazier, days.

Of course, I wish I had known a lot more about the context of the strike before I made my previous posts, but I still stand by them… although it’s a little to late now. Having attended the first hour or so of the General Assembly, though, I think it presented the strike not as a rational last resort but as a radical action. Although I seem to be writing myself into a hypocritical box here, since I don’t think I’d ever actually try and keep up with the day-to-day news of the CSU or any kind of politics whatsoever. I hate politics. Why can’t we all just get along? :(

As for the “second dumbest thing the CSU has ever done comment”… well, my “first dumbest thing” right now seems much less dumb. And I’m limiting myself only the events that I’ve been around to witness. Finally, I don’t have to be politically correct; so I won’t try.
